Here's a couple from the cage fight. Trailed two local fighters for the night. One ended up winning his fight pretty quick, the other guy not so much. He got choked out. Out cold.

Here are a few snaps from an essay I'm working on about the little niche in American society called the fraternal orders. You know, the Elks Lodges, the Eagles Lodges, and their steady decline.

This was shot with a home-brew ring flash. Kind of clumsy shooting with it, but at least I'm mobile. The second picture is a portrait, which I feel weird about including, but I think the aesthetic (against the wall with heavy shadows kind of feel) kind of limits my ability to shoot all documentary.

In another life

In another life I must of been a cowboy. I am always excited to be around horses.. running my fingers across the short hair. Poking their huge wet nose just to get a stir out of her.. I don't mean any harm.. here's a handful of grass..

Maybe later in this life I will work with them again. Much like a shepherd and his dog, what could be more meaningful than working side-by-side with such a beautiful creature? A simple task of traveling.. or plowing the earth.

I'm dazed, I've been blind sided, plowed over, dumb-struck.

My voice shakes as I explain what happened to tech support at Apple and Drive Savers. How it just crashed. And a hole eats at my stomach as I think about what could be lost.

But I have faith.

These miracle technicians will reach into the broken machine and save my images. My past, my art, my memories.

Please. Please.

So now I wait.
